City of Meridian Accepting Applications for the Solid Waste Advisory Commission

MERIDIAN, ID – The City of Meridian is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Meridian Solid Waste Advisory Commission. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 9, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.

The Solid Waste Advisory Commission advises and makes recommendations to the Mayor and City Council regarding new or amended rules, regulations, policies, and fees related to the City’s solid waste collection system. The Commission consists of up to 9 members and meets at 4:00 pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the Council Chambers at Meridian City Hall. Members typically serve an average of 2 hours per month. More information is available on the Solid Waste Advisory Commission webpage.

In addition to the application, a letter of interest and resume should be submitted with the completed application. Applications can be submitted online or delivered to Mayor Simison at Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Avenue, Meridian, ID., 83642. All applications should be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025. The successful applicant, who must reside within Meridian’s city limits or its area of impact, will be appointed by Mayor Simison and confirmed by the Meridian City Council.
